Partnership with WWF

Danzer Group and the WWF (Word Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) have been teaming up since 2006 to promote responsible forest management and trade practices in Africa. The partnership includes Danzer Group’s memberships in WWF’s Global Forest and Trade Network (GFTN), an initiative designed to eliminate illegal logging and improve the management of valuable and threatened forest

As a member of the GFTN, Danzer Group has committed to work progressively toward having all of its African concessions FSC® certified. To date, 35 % of Danzer Group’s forest concessions in the Congo Basin have already achieved the FSC certificiation. For more Information, see the download in the column on the right.

The partnership with WWF-GFTN also covers procurement from third-party suppliers and trade in African timber.
